The New Sensitive

265: Why healing and health for the highly sensitive person has to look different (and what you should do)

The mood swings. The fatigue. The anxiety and looping thoughts. The burnout that hits, again and again. The long-term chronic symptoms or autoimmune diagnosis that no one can quite explain (Lyme, mold, long COVID, CFS, MCAS). The disrupted sleep. Migraines. The sudden weight changes. The bloating or digestive issues. The exhaustion. The hormones that feel all over the place.

Why does being a highly sensitive person sometimes feel like your body is betraying you? And what if I told you it wasn’t betraying you: it’s SIGNALING to you. Signaling danger, confusion, protection. And that it doesn’t have to be this way? Once you learn to signal safety to your nervous system and body, with the right nutrition, environment, and nervous system approaches, your body can relax.

That's what I'm discussing in today's podcast, as well as introducing Signals of Safety, my new six-month health and healing small group container that starts January 21.

Signals of Safety is a six-month healing program for highly sensitive people navigating chronic illness, mysterious symptoms, burnout, adrenal and energy issues, and hormonal imbalance. It’s a supportive, science-backed, holistic container where HSPs learn the nutrition, lifestyle, and nervous-system tools that help you rebuild energy, stabilize mood, reduce symptoms, and finally feel safe and steady in your body again.

The New Sensitive podcast is a spin-off of The New Sensitive Substack, a weekly newsletter that helps highly sensitives thrive in body and soul with accessible health, wellness and spiritual practices.
